JB3D provide some of the best aftermarket beds available for any FDM 3D printer. Smooth beds are bubble-free and use a thicker PEI sheet than competitors to ensure a more durable print surface
Pics are shown with the protective film applied, do ensure you remove this before printing on it 😛
We currently only offer a single sided smooth sheet, after reaching out to the community we found this was preferred for a multitude of reasons (don’t make me list them! Just message me if you really want to know :P) but are researching some textured options as well.
These do not come with a magnet sheet as you most likely have one already so we can offer them cheaper without clogging up your cupboards
Below you can find a list of printers and their compatible build sizes, these are pertinent to our other product offerings but will work on any printer of the same size of course, providing you have a magnetic sheet on the bed!
- 125 x 125 – Voron 0.1 (and any derivatives, Micron, Tiny-M, Salad Fork, Tri-Zero, Double Dragon… etc…)
- 185 x 185 – Annex K3, Micron+, Rat Rig V-Minion etc
- 235 x 235 – Most Ender’s, VzBot 235
- 255 x 255 – Voron 2.4, Trident
- 305 x 305 – Voron 2.4, Trident
- 355 x 355 – Voron 2.4, Trident
We recommend you prepare the surface prior to printing for optimum stick-ability, this is easily done by scrubbing the sheet with a scotchbrite or high grit sandpaper (600+) and then washing with hot soapy water.
JB3D Smooth PEI Spring Steel Print Beds are also replaceable with a fresh PEI sheet should you wish to, this means you keep your spring steel sheet but get a brand new PEI coating. This can be done by freezing the sheet for 15 minutes then removing the adhesive sheet from the edges with a spudger or similar tool, it should all come off in one go. You can then soak the sheet in warm water with a dishwasher tablet overnight and the remaining adhesive should easily peel off. We will be adding replacement sheets which will be oversized for super easy fitment and can be easily trimmed with a a blade. This will of course be more cost effective than an entirely new JB3D Smooth PEI Spring Steel Print Bed.
There are some great videos out there with when to use a smooth PEI sheet:

Just received this amazing print bed – appears to be much better than one from the different manufacturer I was using! The prints literally stick as if they were glued in place! Appears to be durable as well – I removed a couple of prints already, no marks left! Highly recommended!

Received today for my mongrel of an Ender 3 that refused to drop a reliable 1st layer of PETG on glass. It was about to become a second floor frisbee but I thought I would give a PEI bed a go. I gave this PEI sheet a good soapy clean, popped it on the bare aluminium bed with clips, reset my probe height and laid down a perfect first layer. One happy boy!! Bed heats a lot quicker having less mass and, surprisingly, the magnetic sticker was the item that was most out of level so was removed! Less mass on the Y axis (compared to glass) as well so can, in theory, squeeze more speed out of the old girl. 10 / 10.
